Joyce E. Quick

Joyce E. Quick, 62, of Candor, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Binghamton.  Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Goldie May Warrick Stark.  Joyce is survived by her sons, Verne (Kelly Strickland) Quick, Michael (Miki Foster) Quick, and Daniel Stark-Quick all of Candor; brothers, Ronald (Debbie) Stark of Maine, David Stark of Candor; sister, Susan (Paul) Spencer of Vestal; grandchildren, Zeb, Athena, Isaak, and Abbey; great grandson, Brock; along with several nieces and nephews; and her faithful companion Timmy.  One of Joyce’s passions was cooking.  From her famous bon-bons to her apple pies, the family would always look forward to their special goodie packages at the holidays.  Spending time with her family and friends was a highlight for Joyce.  She was especially proud of her grandchildren and their academic and sports achievements.  Joyce also loved to garden, sew, and crochet.  She had a special place in her heart for her four legged friends.   Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main Street, Candor with Rev. Philip Jordan officiating.  Family invites friends to call from 11:00 to 11:45 prior to the services at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made in Joyce’s name to Polly’s Promise, 953 Fairfield Road, Candor, NY 13743.
