James Jimmy Decker Willseyville, NY James “Jimmy” Decker, 89, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at home. Mr. Decker was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Florence (Holland) Decker; sisters, Florence Grover, Teresa Franklin; brothers, Clarence Decker, Wallace Decker, Ted Decker. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 25 years, Donna Decker; his children and their spouses, Terry Decker, James and Rachel Decker, Leon Benjamin, Jr., Kevin and Mitzy Benjamin, Carol and Calvin Pyhtila, Susan and Randy Raupers, Karen and Fred Hayes; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alta Decker; several nieces and nephews. Jimmy was a very well-known musician and was inducted into The Statewide Country Music Association, Inc., of New York in 1986. In honoring Jimmy’s wishes, a celebration of his life will be celebrated on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at the Van Etten- Spencer VFW Post 8139, 3496 Wyncoop Creek Road, Van Etten, NY from 1 to 5 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Smith Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in James E. Decker’s memory to Hospice at Lourdes, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850 or Cortland Opry Barn, P.O. Box 402, Cortland, NY 13045.
