Obituary of Donald Floyd Williams

Donald Williams, 84, of Owego passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 due to a stroke he suffered on November 12, 2016. Don was born in Endicott, NY to the late Floyd and Nina Williams. He graduated from Vestal Central High School and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was deployed to Germany and England, undertaking classified duties during the Korean War. Don married Nancy Hickey in 1976 and they enjoyed many happy years in Owego. He retired from IBM as a computer analyst and was immediately asked to continue in a consultant capacity. Don enjoyed fishing, was a marksman and lifetime member of the Tioga County Sportsman’s Association. He is survived by his sister, Carolynn Williams, of England; along with many close friends and neighbors in Owego. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Owego.
