Jeanne M. Pedro, 89, of Owego passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 after a brief illness.  Jeanne was predeceased by her parents, John E. and Mary A. (Adams) Salata; husband of 60 years, Richard M. Pedro; brother, John J. Salata.  She is survived by her daughter, Debra A. Hackett; son, Richard JM Pedro; seven grandchildren, Jacquelyn M., Nicole L., Taylor A., and James B. Hackett, John M., Richard D., Christopher M. Pedro; sister-in-law, Darlene M. Salata; several nieces and nephews.  Jeanne retired from the Owego Apalachin School District after many years of service.  The family would like to extend a very special Thank You to the staff at Wilson Hospital South Tower 3, and Dr. Mandapali and his staff.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 300 Main St., Owego, NY with the Rev. Anthony Amato, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego.  Memorial contributions may be made in Jeanne M. Pedro’s memory to the National Shrine of Saint Jude, 3200 E. 91st St., Chicago, IL  60617.  Condolences may be made to Jeanne’s family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.
