Paul G. Nichols, 76, of Owego passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at home.  Paul was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Anna Nichols; wife of 47 years, Kathleen Nichols.  He is survived by his four children and their spouses, Kathleen and Ron Tucker, Darleen and Mark Borton, Bonnie and Tim Blair, Karen Morrison and Earl Hart; eight grandchildren; Casaundra (Justin), Brandon (Amy), Samuel (Nicole), Ansley, Hailey (Brian), Brian, Gracie, Alex; 14  great-grandchildren; siblings, Floyd, Charles (Joanne), Betty, Douglas (Denise); special friend, Beverly Neal and her family; several nieces, nephews, cousins and his loyal companion, Cubby.  Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Marines from 1959 to 1965.  He retired from New York State DOT in Binghamton after 20 years of dedicated service.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY.  Burial will follow in the Tioga Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the VFW Post #1371 Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.  Condolences may be made to Paul’s family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.
