Obituary of Timothy Robert Hopkins

Timothy R. “Big Bear” Hopkins, 38, of Owego, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 as a result of a motor vehicle accident.  Tim is survived by his mother, Sally Archibald; father, Robert Hopkins; sister, Christina Seymour; brother, Jason Smith; three nieces, Bobbie, Jessica, Sydney; nephew, Conner; two grandnieces, Madison, Susan; grandnephew, Tobias; maternal grandmother, Eleanor Archibald; paternal grandmother, Thelma Hopkins.  Tim will be remembered for his mechanical abilities, his love of laughter and most importantly his generous spirit of caring and giving to others.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY.  Burial will follow in the Tioga Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.  Condolences may be made to Tim’s family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.
