Obituary of Charlene Nichols

Please share a memory of Charlene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Charlene “Shelly” Nichols, 59, of Johnson City, New York passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017.  Shelly was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Mable Roberts, Sr.; sister, Penny Manzo.  She is survived by her children, Brady Nichols, Brandi Nichols; five grandchildren, Seth, Jaiden, Hannah, Lily, Neola; soon to be great-granddaughter, Karoline; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Lorna Roberts, Jr.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Richard Phinney, Greta and Larry Smith, Roxanne and James Boehlert; husband, Terry Martin; dear friend and father of her children, Bruce Nichols; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Shelly was a kind, loving, caring and selfless woman.  She always put her friends and family before herself and was always there to help anyone in need, often times neglecting the battles of her own illness.  She truly was one of a kind and will be sorely missed.  A special Thank You to her sister and caregiver, Greta Smith, without whom Shelly would not have had the quality of life she did for the last three years.  Another word of Thanks goes to Renee Dillon, an angel who was there for Shelly her entire life.  In remembrance of Shelly, please try and do a good deed for someone in need; that is what Shelly was all about.   A celebration of Shelly’s life will be held Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Owego Fire Training Center, McMaster St., Owego.  Condolences may be made in Shelly’s memory to www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com
