Q: What will you miss most about Kenneth? A: The fact that I will probably never know, another soul as wonderful as he was. He made everyone feel like someone. He believed in you, when you didn't even believe in yourself. He was a leader you admired, and a friend you felt blessed to have. And Donna was just as wonderful. How blessed I am, that they were part of my journey.

Ken was an honorable man who loved serving his fellow residents in Tioga County. As a Firefighter he served for many years in various capacities with distinction. When I was Stationed at SP Owego as an Investigator, I would often run across him at fire scenes and is was always a welcome sight to see him there doing the right thing. As a fellow veteran I would often see him attending the local events at the VFW and it was always a pleasure chatting with him. To his family , I am sorry for your loss and take comfort that Ken is in a better place. He will be missed by all who knew him and may he rest in the peace of our Lord. William H Standinger III

Becky and Greg. Judy and I were shocked to learn of your fathers passing. Ken was a good friend to all that knew him. We had many a good time while hanging out at the Owego Fire House. Ken was very kind and loved people and folks loved him as well. Ken is now with your mother in heaven. We will keep you in thought and prayers.

I met Kenny when we worked together at IBM. Walt Pianosi was our boss. Of course he and Ken were great buddies and when one ran out of OFD stories, the other continued with more. You would see Kenny proudly marching in every parade the fire department ever marched in. He would train new firefighters and attend training sessions to update on a regular basis. I often heard him called Doc but never knew why until quite recently. My husband and I were very proud to invite Ken to join the Loyal Order of the Moose and his wife Donna into the Women of the Moose when they moved back from Florida. Sadly, Donna passed shortly after joining. Ken became very active and made many friends in the lodge. His attitude was ways positive and upbeat. We got to know him better when he camped at Lake Bonin for a while. I will miss his laughter, his smile and twinkling eyes but mostly his antics and his friendship. Ken was devoted, dedicated, and lead a life of service and loyalty. May he rest in the arms of the Lord forever.

Q: How would you describe Kenneth to someone who had never met them? A: A vertically challenged person full of fire to help anyone that needed help. A brother firefighter and service veteran that I will miss greatly.
