Special thanks to Mary’s  neighbors, Jim and Susie Seeley, who were one of her favorite blessings. Mary also leaves behind a very special friend, Sandy Heslop. Mary worked for several years at Candor Central School as a teacher’s aide and enjoyed keeping up with her fellow alumni. She enjoyed quilting and was a founding member of the local quilt guild “New Quilters on the Block.” As so many from her generation, Mary saw boys go to war and (if they were fortunate) return as men. Patriotism, respect and personal responsibility were the norm in the country she grew up in.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main Street, Candor, NY with the Rev.
