William G. White, Sr., 78, of Candor, NY passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021. Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marie White; three children and their spouses, Cheri White, Bill, Jr. and Robin White, Rene and James Shaver; five grandchildren, Gregory and Joseph White, Audrey Shaver, Shania Hudson-Shaver and Aliyah Shaver; great grandson, Larson Hudson; brother, Herson White; sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and George Sposato; several nieces and nephews. Bill was a Navy Veteran serving on the U.S.S. Denebola. He worked for the Tioga County Highway Department and the Tioga County Sheriff's Department. He was a Master Instructor for the Hunters Safety Training Program and a member of the Candor American Legion Post #907. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego with the Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Woodbridge Cemetery in the Spring.
