Obituary of Katherine W. Whittemore

Katherine "Kate" W. Whittemore, 39, of Candor, NY passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 surrounded by her family. Katherine was born in Johnson City, NY to Marcia Kropp and Aaron Gowan. She is survived by her parents, her husband, Benjamin Whittemore; two sons, Colton, William; daughter, Quinn; paternal grandmother, Bayonne Gowan and Charles Wilcox; aunts and uncles, Michael Kropp, Stacie Kropp and Vanessa Loucks, Cindy Bennett, Dr. Ivan and Carolyn Gowan, Dr. Samuel and Karen Gowan; mother-in-law, Kelly Whittemore and Daniel Kosztyo; brother-in-law, Luke Whittemore and Gina Lambertson; niece, Raina; numerous cousins and dear friends. Katherine attended Tioga Central School, Colgate University and Cornell University. Kate is the President and owner-operator of Home Central and Owner with her husband, Ben of Dead End Farm. She is a past member of the Board of Director of Cornell Cooperative Ext. and a supporter of 4-H. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Donna Martin, officiating. Services will be live streamed at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com (Click Kate's obituary).
