Obituary of William Arthur Pizante

Dr. William A. "Bill" Pizante, 89, of Vestal, NY passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at home. Mr. Pizante was born in Chicago, IL to the late Jack and Grace Pizante. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deborah "Dvorah" Pizante; two daughters, Lisa Grace Alcazar Pesante, MD, Nina A. Pesante, MD, and his step-daughter Sonya Liebe Prybutok; brother, Jack Pizante. Bill was an Esteemed professor of Philosophy at SUNY Binghamton University for many years. He masterfully integrated philosophy, psychology, Zen Buddhism, and Ontoanalysis. Life Celebrations tribute will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY. Burial will follow in the West Genea Cemetery, Kings Ferry, NY. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Please Note: Family requests all present to wear masks.
