Helen L. Galpin, 93, of Owego passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Helen was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Donald Galpin; parents, Truman and Mary Anderson; two brothers, Paul and Frederick Anderson; two sisters, Ruby Van Atta, Ruth Rumsey. Helen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and John Loomis; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Karen Galpin; four grandchildren, John (Colleen) Loomis, Justin (Sara) Loomis, Taylor (Wendell) Zeigler, Kelcie (Bryan) Cardoso; 10 great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Riley, Laura, Flynn & Teagan Loomis, Anderson and Cohen Zeigler, Evan Galpin, Ryder and Valentina Cardoso; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Cloyd Manzer; several nieces and nephews; special caretakers, Carol, Teresa, Stephanie, Karen, Brittany and the team on the 3rd floor of Elderwood At Waverly Health Care Facility. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego. Services will be live streamed at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com (click Helen's obituary). Burial will follow in the Tioga Cemetery, Owego, NY. The family will receive friends Friday, Oct. 8th from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
