Obituary of Donald V. Yeier

Donald V. Yeier, 82, of Candor passed away peacefully Sunday, October 17, 2021 at home. Don was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Eudora Yeier. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Yeier; children, Melissa and Scott Morrow, Derek and Lisa Yeier, Jennifer and Mark Cooper, Kenneth and Elisabeth Harper; seven grandchildren, Tanner, Parker, Conner, Alaina, Aden, Jack, Sebastian; brother, Lavon Yeier. Don was very community minded and a member of the Allen Memorial Baptist Church and the Candor Community Choir. He worked in many fields, including Mining, Surveying and as a Stock Broker. As a child his true passion was astronomy which led to him becoming an entrepreneur in the field of Optics and ownership of Vernon Scope in Candor, NY. The family will receive friends Friday, October 22, 2021 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor, NY. Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Don's memory to the Candor Emergency Squad, P.O.
