Virginia I. Rhodes, 94, of Owego went to be with the Lord, Monday, March 28, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. Virginia was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Gerald R. Rhodes; parents, Charles and Hazel Thompkins; brother, James Thompkins; sister, Betty Burford. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-aw, Gerald D. and Gail Rhodes; Randy and Joyce Rhodes; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Virginia retired from IBM and was a member of the Owego United Methodist Church, Newark Valley Quilter's Club and the Newark Valley Historical Society. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego with the Rev. Jamie Stevens officiating. Services will be live streamed at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com (Click Mrs. Rhodes' obituary). Burial will follow in the Tioga Cemetery, Owego, NY.
