Shirley M. Wilcox, 85, of Nichols, New York, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024.  Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Arthur Wilcox; son, Eric Wilcox; her loving sister and brother-in-law Cynthia and Charles Hatcher.  Shirley is survived by her daughter, Jana Laufer; three granddaughters, Tawna, Farrah, Shakira; two brothers and sister-in-law, Charles and Wanda Simmers, John Simmers, four great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.  Shirley owned and operated The Village Florist Shop, Nichols, NY for 18 years.  She enjoyed traveling, going to train shows with her husband, Art, gardening and collecting dolls.   The family will receive friends Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY.  A burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY.  The family asked that any memorial contributions be made to Stray Haven at 194 Shepard Road, Waverly, NY 14892.
