Steven R. King, 67, of Spencer NY, passed away January 3, 2025, following a long illness. Born September 6, 1957, he grew up in Wappingers Falls, NY. He studied Architecture at Pratt Institute in NYC and later ran his own architectural design and drafting business for many years in Vestal NY. His friends and family will remember him as someone who loved people and always had time and interest for anyone he cared about. He also loved the Earth and spent his time and resources to make it better. He loved to plant trees and planted many at his home. Steve had an Independent Spirit and was artistic at his core. He loved music, dancing and movies. All his writings were littered with his many drawings. Steve had a passion for learning and no subject was safe from his interest. He will be missed. Steven is survived by his brother, Kevin King, of Garrison, NY; his sister, Nora King, of Brooklyn NY; and his dear friend, Julie Sorrell, of Ithaca NY. An intimate celebration of life will be held in the spring where we hope to plant a tree in his memory. In lieu of flowers plant a tree if you are able.
