Gary M. Hallett, Sr., 81, of Willseyville, New York, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025. Gary was predeceased by his parents, Marshall and Beatrice Hallett; his wife of 54 years, Sandra Hallett; brother in law, Albert Ciappa Sr.; son-in-law, Lynn Hollenbeck. Gary is survived by his daughter, Debra Hollenbeck; son and daughter-in-law, Gary, Jr. and Marcia Hallett; eight grandchildren, Jordan(Matthew) Hollenbeck, Kevin (Morgan) Hollenbeck, Kelsey (Hanz) Li Hallett, Kally (Will) Hallett, Kara (Trevor) McQuaid, Kipp Hallett, Krista (Jonah) Chrispell, Kieran Hallett; three great-grandchildren, Freya Hollenbeck, Colter Hollenbeck, Avander Li Hallett; brother and sister-in-law, Earl "EJ" and Patricia Hallett; two sisters and brother-in-law, Carol Ciappa, Mary and Jacque Ludwig; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Gary was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. He worked at DHI, Ithaca, New York. Gary was a member and past commander of the Candor American Legion Post #907. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main Street, Candor, NY with the Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, New York.
