On Sunday, May 4th, 2025, Nelda Mae Lynch, went home to be with the Lord. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Beth Neira, and her granddaughter, Mallory Rowley and her husband, Mitch Rowley.
Nelda was a remarkable woman whose warmth and kindness touched countless lives. She was deeply admired and cherished by her community and will be remembered as an extraordinary lady with an endless circle of friends. A devout Christian, Nelda lived her faith openly and was a shining example of spiritual commitment to all who knew her.
Nelda was born, May 16, 1939 to the late John "Jack" and Wanda (Dickinson) Lynch, and was one of four children. She was raised in Center Lisle and graduated from Whitney Point High School. After graduating high school, she spent several years working at Cornell University. In 1970, she moved to Owego, NY, where she built a long and dedicated career with IBM. Faithfully serving for over 35 years.
Nelda's greatest joy was her family. She had a deep love and devotion to her daughter, Beth, and granddaughter, Mallory. They were a testament to her love, strength, patience, and selflessness. When anyone asked her about her hobbies or interest, Nelda's response was always, "Mallory, anything with Mallory." Nelda and Mallory's bond together was unbreakable, and they enjoyed countless hours over the last 25+ years enjoying any activity and time together. Their happiest memories were time together!
The family will receive friends, Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 11:30 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY with Pastor, Bobby Harris, officiating. Burial will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Center Lisle Cemetery, Center, Lisle, NY.
