Laura G. O'Leary, 97, of Owego, New York, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, at home with her son, Tom by her side. Laura was born in Cortland, New York to the late Michael and Mary (Reitano) Zampino. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James O'Leary; daughter, Marie O'Leary; son, Michael O'Leary; sister, Charlotte Brooks; brother, Gerald Zampino; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Lisborg. Laura is survived by her son, Thomas O'Leary; her favorite sister, Vivian Garvey; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Laura was a member of the American Legion Post #401 Auxiliary, the Owego Moose Lodge and contributed to the Tioga County Council of the Arts and the Ti Ahwaga Players. Tom would like to extend a very special Thank You to Dr. Susan Choi, Karen Ward, Patty Nichols, Sheila Gallagher, Louise Terpenning, Carol Randall, Amy and Todd Foster; her niece, Kathy Lisborg, for their special care and friendship over the years. She will be remembered for her laughter, joy of dancing, music and love of family and friends. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. with funeral services immediately following at 1:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Owego, NY.
