Roger A. Short, 80, of Groton, New York, passed Monday, September 15, 2025. Roger was predeceased by three children, Josh Short, Melody Short, Tammy Short; grandson, Codi Short; three brothers, Kenneth "Butch" Short, Jr., David Short, Stephen Short; sister, Carol Rogers. Roger is survived by four children and daughter-in-law, Neal and Charlene Short, Keith Short, Melissa Brooks, Jody Short; step-children, Tom (Tasia) Walters, Renee' Carrier; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Roger will be remembered for his love of Dunkin Donuts, scratch offs and driving around after storms, looking at high waters and trees down. The family will receive friends Friday, September 19, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 12:00 Noon at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego, NY with Pastor David C. Seaver, officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin, New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Roger A.
