Margaret (Oliver) Anderson Pierce, 90, of Candor, NY passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Margaret is survived by her husband, Jim Pierce; her two daughters, and their spouses, Dianne and Pete Zamoski of Candor, NY, Vicki and Bub Compton of Candor, NY; four grandchildren, Kristen Furch and Fiancé, Mike Nichols of Waverly, NY, Erica Sievert of Hudson, NH, Matt and Courtney Compton of Rome, PA, Michael and Kelley Compton of Sevierville, TN; six great-grandchildren, Garrett Zacharias of Candor, NY, Gavin Sievert of Hudson, NH, Lillianna Sievert of Hudson, NH, Jared Compton of Candor, NY, Madison Compton of Cortland, NY, Syley Compton of Sevierville, TN; brother, Bob Oliver of Owego, NY; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Margaret was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond (Buzz) Anderson; three brothers, Donnie Oliver, Eddie Oliver, Richie Oliver; sister, Marjorie Anderson.

Margaret and Jim loved traveling, boating, cooking, baking for family gatherings, roller-skating, shopping (although she rarely purchased anything), going out to restaurants and talking on the telephone. Saying she cherished her family was an understatement. She was a homeroom mother and Girl Scout Leader and had attended all recitals and sporting events for grandchildren. Traveling as far as she needed to be so she could be at every race her great-grandson, Garrett, raced. This was a special highlight of her life. She had a never-ending smile and waved every time he drove by on the racetrack. She will be dearly missed, but we were so blessed to have her in our lives as long as we did.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.. at the Estey Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home located at 137 Main Street, Candor, NY, with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery.
