Michael Eugene Predmore Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Eugene Predmore, who departed this life on December 23, 2025 at the age of 62. Born in Ithaca, New York, Michael was cherished by family and friends for his love of family, his strong work ethic, his sense of humor and his enthusiasm for playing like a kid. Throughout his life he touched the hearts and lives of many with his hearty laugh and willingness to lend a helping hand.

Michael was pre-deceased by his parents, Raymond Lawrence and Nancy Elaine Settle Predmore; brother, David L. Predmore; son, Michael Krisco; stepson, Matthew A. Prentice. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Karen Northup, of Candor, NY; daughter, Patience R. Predmore, of Auburn, NY; two stepsons, John R. Prentice Jr., of Romulus, NY, Scott "Andy" Craig of Candor, NY; brother, Timothy L. Predmore, of Binghamton; four beloved grandchildren, Alyssa Prentice, Kylee Lott, Annabeth Craig, Finley Prentice, who will all remember their "Grandpa Mike" fondly, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws .

Michael was a devoted son, brother, and friend who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending time outdoors, tending to his animals and his garden, sharing stories around the dinner table, or lending support to those in need. He will be remembered for his love of his Harley Davidson (and knowledge of motorcycles in general) and his fascination with the early history of North America and his participation in Mountain Man and other "Rendezvous" encampments around the Northeast where he taught about the history and demonstrated the many skills of the early American fur traders. He especially loved the opportunity to share his enthusiasm and knowledge with children as he kept them spell-bound with his storytelling and hands-on teaching. Michael's legacy will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

At Michael's request, there will be no formal funeral or memorial service at this time. His cremains will be interred on a future date in the Northup family plot in the Virgil Cemetery in Virgil, NY.

Michael will be deeply missed, but the love he shared and the memories he leaves behind will live on in our hearts (and our funny bones!).
