Paul Amba Wilkinson, of Apalachin, NY, passed away February 6th, 2026. He was born in Wellington, OH to parents Paul A. Wilkinson and Evelyn R. Wilkinson. Paul graduated from Wellington High School in June 1955. He went on to study Electrical Engineering at Ohio State University, earning a BS degree. Paul served in the Army reserves from 1959 to 1965. Paul worked as an Electrical Engineer for 30 years (1962–1992) at IBM in Owego, NY, achieving the position of Senior Engineer. He retired in 1992 and enjoyed over three decades in retirement. Paul loved the Lord and his family and was a member of South Apalachin Baptist Church since 1975. He was a thinker, problem solver and his family enjoyed his ability to fix anything. His passions included singing and hiking. He was a member of the Southerntiersmen barbershop chorus for 37 years. He hiked all 46 Adirondack high peaks achieving membership in the Adirondack 46ers. Paul married Ruth Hartman in May of 1960, in Elyria, OH. Together they had three children: Elizabeth, David and Cynthia. Paul married Bonnie Lee Ward on July 18, 1970, in Maine, NY. Together they raised four children: Elizabeth, David, Cynthia, and Timothy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul A. and Evelyn R. Wilkinson; his first wife, Ruth A. Wilkinson; brother, John C. Wilkinson; and son-in-law, Kevin Farr. Paul is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lee Wilkinson; four children, Elizabeth, David (Nancy), Cynthia Farr, and Timothy (Michelle); brother, Thomas A. (Maggie) Wilkinson; grandchildren, Jenna Holden, Jillian (Presho Mott) Holden, Jinell Holden, Tyler (Kaitlin) Wilkinson, Kayla (Eric) Schwartz, Dr. Katy Wilkinson, Maleah Farr, Canon Farr, Jaclyn Farr, Anthony Romeo, Kadijah Wilkinson, Beccah (Brad) Bates, James Wilkinson, Kenyari Wilkinson, Grace Wilkinson, and Reignah Wilkinson; great-grandchildren Adelyn Brookes, Charlotte Russo, Jonas Bates, Dante Bates, Holden Mott and Hayes Mott.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego, NY with Pastor Daniel Crane, officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin, NY.
