Yvonne Corinne Short Pollard, 89, who lived her entire life in Owego, NY, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026. Yvonne was predeceased by her parents, Uriah & Viola Short; her siblings Melvin (Janie) Short, Duane Short, Oliver Short, Raymond Short, Phillip Short, Dale Short and Mavis (Jack) McDuffee; her son-in-law, Harry Dombert; her former husband, Guy Pollard and his parents, Fred & Mazie Pollard. She is survived by her four children, Tim & Theresa Pollard, of Berkshire, NY, Kim Dombert, of Endicott, NY, Mindy & James Michael Brown, of Yazoo City, MS, Susan & Jake Vroman, of Binghamton, NY; her beloved grandchildren, Jake Dombert and Haylie Matthis, Luke Dombert and Cara Hannigan, Talgat Brown and Aygul Brown; her sisters-in-law, Betty Short, Lillian Short and Iona Galpin; along with several nieces and nephews. Yvonne started her career at the Owego Heat Treat, moved into the insurance business at Midstate Mutual and once she became a realtor, worked for Coldwell Banker, USA Realty and Howard Hanna. For many years, she enjoyed helping families in the triple cities find their new forever homes. Throughout her life, Yvonne was a devoted Mother and Grandmother whose heart and time was always centered around her family. Her family was her life's joy and purpose. They hope to be able to share her kindness and sense of humor to honor her. She was the center of her children's and grandchildren's circle of life and will be missed. Her family would like to thank Elderwood at Waverly for their care during her final years. Abiding by Yvonne's wishes, funeral services will be private with no calling hours. She will be laid to rest in the Short family plot in Apalachin, NY. In her memory, please extend an act of kindness to someone as she was always known for being loving and kind.
