Stanley R. "Stan" Zimmer, 86, of Owego, unexpectedly died Monday, April 14, 2026, at home. Stan was born in Newark Valley, New York to the late Robert and Gertrude (Munch) Zimmer. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by two sons, Tad Vincent Zimmer, Randy Zimmer; Stan is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carrol Zimmer; son, Lonnie (Sue) Zimmer; daughter-in-law, Kelly Shirley Zimmer; seven grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia Zimmer, Sandra and Clyde Nelson, Melanie and Chris Steenstrip; several nieces, nephew and extended family members. Stan was veteran of the U.S. Army and retired as a computer Tech with IBM – Owego. In honoring Stan's wishes there will be no public services.
