Susan Diehl, 73, of Apalachin, New York, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at home surrounded by family. Susan was born in Cortland, New York to the late Fred and Esther (Barrows) Bingham. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Lloyd Harmon. Susan is survived by her husband of 38 years, David Diehl; three stepchildren, Brian Diehl, Heather and Mike Rafferty, Nichole and Stacy Arroyo; four grandchildren, Cody Diehl, Cathy Diehl, Nicole Rafferty, Colleen Rafferty; three great-grandchildren, Gabriel Diehl, Landon Vavis, Elayna Diehl; sister, Sharon Burke; many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Broome Oncology for 20+ years of care and to Guthrie Lourdes Hospice for their compassion and care. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego, NY. Burial will follow in the Tioga Cemetery, Owego, NY. The family will receive friends, Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
