Charles E. "Chuck" Van Pelt, 57, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, due to natural causes. Chuck is survived by his wife, Jessica Van Pelt; his mother, Janet Young-Sharp; his father, Richard (Sandra) Van Pelt; his sister, Cheryl L. Van Pelt Reigle; his brother, Kevin R. (Cynthia) Van Pelt; nieces and nephews, Jeremy (Angela) Leitch, Jesse (Misty) Leitch, Chayden Van Pelt (Tena Ruth), Lexi (Andrew) Seaman, Zoe (Braxton) Van Pelt; two great nieces, Michala Leitch, Justice Leitch; his step-children, John Lunn, Jr., Mariah (Scott) Morey, Ariel Harder; six step-grandchildren, Karryn Rio, Everlee Morey, Christopher Morey, Giovanni Smith, Cody Smith, Jr., Swagger Harder. Chuck was predeceased by his nephew, Charles J. Sinclair. The family will receive friends, Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Candor American Legion, 90 Spencer Road, Candor, NY.
