Obituary of Bonita L. Ballard

Bonnie L. Ballard, 69, of Tioga Center, NY passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017.  Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, William and Lucille Ballard; step-father, Duke Evans; nephew, Jason Ballard.  She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and GT Greene; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Glenda Ballard; nine nieces and nephews, Alice, Robbie, Ed, Sarah, Cindy Lou, Stephen, Alisa Rose, Bill, Jr., Chris; special caregiver and cousin, Wendy Amaro-Santiago; several cousins and great-nieces and nephews.  Bonnie was very community minded.  She retired from Broome-Tioga BOCES and was a deacon and active member of the First Presbyterian and held numerous positions with the VFW Post #1371 Ladies Axiliary.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego with the Rev. Lisa Hackman, officiating.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Owego, NY.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Bonnie’s memory to Stray Haven Humane Society, 194 Shepherd Road, Waverly, NY  14892.
