Obituary of Emily Mildred Kinney

Emily Mildred (Truesdail) Kinney,87, of Owego passed away after a long illness on Monday, July 17, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.  Emily was predeceased by her parents, David and Jennie Truesdail; husband of 50 years, Stanley Kinney, son, Kevin Kinney; 12 siblings, Mary Jane, Daniel, Robert, Charles, Harrietta Marie, John, George, Frederick, Roseanna, William, Hazel and Herbert.  She is survived by her four daughters, Kathie Stevens, Kristy Brooking, Kim Kelly, Kalli VanDyke; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  Emily worked at Endicott Johnson, J.J. Newberry and Mary Lou Dress Co.   She enjoyed being a homemaker, seamstress, bird lover and was a friend to all.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego with the Pastor Ralph Kelsey, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
