Obituary of Susan J. Cumm

Susan J. Cumm, 62, of Owego went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born to Richard and Aileen Wold in Brooklyn, NY.  She graduated from Owego Free Academy and SUNY Postdam, where she met the love of her life, Kevin.  Sue is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Kevin; three sons Gene (Amanda), Charles “Ted” (Heather), Daniel (Nicole); five grandchildren, Amelia, Nicholas, Katherine, Caleb, Ethan, and expected granddaughter; her parents; siblings David (Karon) Wold, Donald (Julie) Wold and Debi Zeggert (Rusty Pawlikowski & son); sister/brother in-law, Debbie (Craig) Foster; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.  As a good and faithful servant of the Lord, she was a member of the Sword and the Spirit Christian Fellowship. She enjoyed praising the Lord through singing and dancing at her church.  She also enjoyed showing her love for others through knitting, crocheting, gardening, painting and crafting with the “Crafty Ladies”.  Her life was a treasure to all who knew her as she faithfully devoted her life to following Christ and also to those she loved – who were many.  Family and friends would like to thank the Wilmot Cancer Center, Hospice at Lourdes, and family and friends for their abundant love and support over the past 6 months. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Janaury 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sword and the Spirit Christian Fellowship, 37 Dickenson Road, Owego with Pastor Brian Scanlon, officiating.  Following the service the family welcomes you to join them for a time of fellowship at Owego United Methodist Church at 261 Main St., Owego.  Burial will be in the Tioga Cemetery in the Spring.  The family will receive friends and loved ones Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Sword and the Spirit Christian Fellowship in memory of Susan J. Cumm.  Condolences may be made to Sue’s family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.
