Obituary of Elizabeth J. O'Konsky

Elizabeth “Betty” J. O’Konsky, 79, of Candor passed away unexpectedly, Friday, April 6, 2018.  Betty was predeceased by her husband, Theordore O’Konsky. She is survived by her children, David and Cheryl O’Konsky, Matthew O’Konsky and Patt Tarr, Daria and Jim Oakes, Elizabeth “Beth” Perrillo; 12 grandchildren, Kelsey, Sydney (Mitch Blinn), Joseph, Katheryn and Karrie O’Konsky, Annie and Jay Oakes, Tyler, Dylan, Jillian, Ryan and Lindsay Perrillo; sister, Marie (Richard) Sturdevant, two brothers, Ernie (Gay) Stahley, William (Clare) Stahley; 22 nieces and nephew.  Betty was very community minded. She worked for over 27 years at Tioga State Bank.  She was a very active early member of the Candor Emergency Squad, a member of the Candor American Legion Axiliary; Tioga County Board of Elections and took part in the annual Tioga County Relay for Life. Betty was a proud 35 years breast cancer survivor.  Betty will be remembered as a loving beloved mother and grandmother who was very kind and generous.  The family would like to invite the community to join them for an open house on Saturday, April 14th from 1 to 3 p.m. at 10 Kinney Street, Candor, NY.  Memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth J.
