George R. Strednak, 70, of Newfield, passed away in Virginia, on July 13, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Claudia (Ward) Strednak; two sons, Sean, and Terry (Kate) Strednak; grandchildren: Emerald, Alexandra, Nathanial, Caleb, Darius, and Ian; one nephew Eric, and one niece, Tanya. George was very proud of his time in the military, serving as a Marine during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of Vietnam Veterans of America. He was an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle fan, and was fond of antique cars. He loved his family and everything he did was for them. Family will receive friends on Friday July 20, 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm, at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main Street, Candor, NY. A memorial service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm.
