Obituary of Anton Heidl
Anton “Tony” Heidl, 90, of Willseyville, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Tony was born on December 17, 1927 in Czechoslovakia to Joseph and Ernestine Peterova Heidl. Along with his parents, He was predeceased by his wife, Elfriede Maria Heidl; daughter, Rosana; brother, Rudy, sister, Inge. He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Harry and Donna Heidl, Norman and Yan Ping Heidl; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and David Doane, Jr.; son-in-law, Frank Haus; ten grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; his longtime companion, Lucy Norris; several nieces and nephews. Tony worked for the American Army in Germany and when discharged, he moved to Canada where he worked on the Niagara Falls Power Plant. He came to the United States in 1954 and worked at Morse Chain in Ithaca for 18 years. Tony retired from Pinkerton Security. He was a member of the Candor American Legion. In honoring Tony’s wishes services will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be made in Tony Heidl’s memory to the Candor Emergency Squad.
