Obituary of Gary Michael Kert

Gary M. Kert, 72, of Owego passed away at home on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.  Gary was predeceased by his parents, John and Julia Kert, and his brother, John Kert.  Gary is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Pennie and Carl Williams and their children, Gage and Aubrie; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Michael O'Hare and their children, Ross, Connor and Logan; son, Robert Covello; sister, Gayle Kert; sister-in-law, Linda Kert; nephew, Michael; nieces, Amy and Dawn; several great nieces and nephews; his beloved cat.  Gary was adored by his extended family and friends and he just adored his grandchildren. He was the unofficial mayor of the back road.  Gary was self employed for many years as GK Auto, then a mechanic for the Tioga County Sheriff’s Department.  He enjoyed tinkering with his cars, mowing his lawn and loved NASCAR.  A celebration of Gary’s life will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at 651 Park Settlement Road, Owego, NY.  Condolences may be made to Gary’s family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.
