Obituary of Janelle Butterfield
Janelle Marie Butterfield, formerly of Candor, NY born July 22, 1984, ended her struggle in this life on September 5, 2018, and found peace in the loving arms of our Lord. Janelle is pre-deceased by her father, Barry P. Butterfield; Grand-parents, Olin (Cub) Dence, Robert and Athene Butterfield. Janelle is survived by her mother, Connie Dence; sister, Joleen (Antonio) Melendez; nephew, Irie Melendez; niece, Luna Melendez; grandmother, Mary Dence; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Janelle's greatest gift was her loving heart. She displayed compassion in both her words and actions toward others. Her kindness, generosity and humility were a blessing to all who knew her. Her priority for the simple, yet valuable things in life was something we all should strive for. Our profound grief is lessened by the knowledge that our lives were better for having known her and that we will see her again when our own journeys are complete. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main Street, Candor, NY 13743. The family will receive friends from 12:00-12:45 p.m. prior to services. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Janelle's memory to Schizophrenia International Research Society, 5034A Thoroughbred Lane, Brentwood, TN 37027.
