Obituary of Richard N. Wold

Richard “Dick” N. Wold, 89, of Owego passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.  Mr. Wold was predeceased by his parents, Olaf and Louise Wold; sister, Dorothy Wolcott; daughter, Susan Cumm; grandson, Adam Wold.   Dick is survived by his wife of 66 years, Aileen Wold; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Karon Wold, Donald and Julie Wold; daughter, Debra Zeggert; son-in-law, Kevin Cumm; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  Dick was a U.S. Navy veteran during the Korean War. He retired from IBM in 1990.  Dick was very community minded.  He was a member of the Owego United Methodist Church,  a former Cub Scout Master of Pack #53, a volunteer for the IBM Little League, a volunteer driver for the Owego Emergency Squad, a 22+ year member of the OFA School Board, member of the American Legion Post #401 and member of the Tioga Cemetery Assoc. Board.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Owego United Methodist Church, 261 Main St., Owego, NY.  Burial will follow in the Tioga Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Owego United Methodist Church.  Condolences may be made to Dick’s family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.
