Obituary of James E. Dwyer

James E. Dwyer, 84, of Owego, NY and formerly of Cape Vincent, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018.  He was predeceased by his brother Carl and parents Ralph B. & Blanche Darou Dwyer.  He is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Steven (Nancy Todd), Clarissa Fuller (Floyd); grandchildren, Allen Dwyer (Kelsey Williams), Stephanie Dwyer, Bailey Fuller (Kyle Williams), Molly Witham (Corson); and 2 and ½ great-grandchildren, Elijah, Ona & new January 2019 baby; sister, Almyra; brothers Ralph, Jr. (Bud) & William (Bill) and many nieces, nephews and extended family.  Jim graduated from Lowville Academy in 1951 and served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959.  Jim married Margaret Sullivan on June 2, 1962.  He retired from Walmart Garden Center in 2004.  He enjoyed watching golf, S.U. sports, and gardening and cooking in his younger days.  The family wished to extend their appreciation to Wilson Hospital ICU& Neuroscience and South Tower 5 for their exceptional care.  Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Cape Vincent Ambulance, 241 Broadway St., Cape Vincent, NY  13618.  A Memorial Service will be held on October 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at the United Church of Cape Vincent, 260 Broadway St., Cape Vincent, NY.  Burial will be private.  Condolences may be made to Jim’s family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com
