Obituary of James Edward Weaver

James “Jim” E. Weaver, 81, formerly of Owego, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, November 15, 2018.  Jim was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Alice Weaver; brother, Charles “Butch” Weaver.  He is survived by his wife, Jackie Weaver; two daughters and son-in-law, Debbie and Tim Federowicz, Kathy Weaver; four step-daughters and their spouses, Elizabeth and Larry Tiffany, Mary Colvin Karpel, Laura and Frank Rogers, Deborah Meyer; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.  Jim was a great sports enthusiast who loved to root for the N.Y. Giants and N.Y. Mets.  The family will receive friends Monday, November 19, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Owego.  Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post #1371, 207 Main St., Owego, NY  13827.
