Obituary of Dolores A. Wetterling

Dolores A. Wetterling, 83, loving devoted child of God has gone home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 15, 2018.  Dolores was predeceased by her parents, Ignace and Gladys Andrews; husband, Joseph E. Barnhart.  She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Albert Wetterling; six children and their spouses, Nancy (Joel) Payne, Joseph (Cyndi) Barnhart, Theresa (Lee) Mills, Barbara (Roy) VanEtten, Patricia Bensley, (Mike White),  Anthony (Rhonda) Barnhart; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.  Dolores was dearly devoted to her faith and St. Patrick’s Church.  She enjoyed making rosaries for well over 30 years and sent them all over the world.  She enjoyed endless hours making homemade crafts for family and friends that will be handed down for generations to come.  In her younger years, Dolores modeled for Drazens Department Store.  She worked as a seamstress for Mary Lou Dress, a custodian at Ithaca College for a number of years, a wedding cake baker and she enjoyed gardening.  The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., concluding with a rosary service at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 Noon at St. Patrick’s Church, 300 Main St., Owego with burial to follow in the Parish Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Dolores A.
