Donald Jack Eiklor, 91, of St. Charles, IL and formerly of Columbia, Tennessee, and Owego, New York passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018.  Donald was born on July 26, 1927, in Owego, New York, the son of Harry and Thelma (Allen) Eiklor.  Donald was united in marriage to Kathryn Frellesen, February 9, 1951, in Owego, NY.  Donald proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII.  Don had a successful and very fulfilled career working as a Qualtiy Engineer for IBM for many years.  Later in Don’s career he was transferred from New York to Tennessee where he and his wife stayed during their retirement.  In retirement, Don stayed active, he was a member of the American Legion, played golf five times a week, a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Columbia, called bingo at the senior center and volunteered with whatever and whoever was in need.Donald is survived by his four children, Gary Eiklor, Doneva (Gary) Rozelle, Karen (Lisa Rutter) Eiklor, Kyle (Carolyn) Eiklor; a daughter-in-law Jeannette Eiklor, eight granchildren, and  twelve great-grandchildren.  Donald is preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathryn, a son Donald Eiklor and two brothers, Robert and Harry Eiklor.  Visitation was held Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 South Third Street, St. Charles, IL. 

A funeral service with military honors will be held at Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 1:30 PM.  Condolences to the family may be made to www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Ronald McDonald House Charities, 214 Fairfax Avenue, Nashville, TN, 37212.
