Obituary of Bernard S Schumacher

Bernard S. Schumacher, 75, of Owego passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019.  Bernie was predeceased by his wife of almost 50 years, Connie.  He is survived by his children, Lisa Schumacher and Bernie’s best friend and grandson, Derek Hicks, Stephen and Maureen Schumacher and grandson, Weston, Anthony and Sharon Schumacher; three brothers, Arthur (Ricky) Schumacher, George Schumacher, John and Nora Schumacher; two sisters, Rosemary Jenkins, Paulette Kucinsky; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.  Bernard was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Crown Industries in Owego after 12 years of service, IBM, Endicott and Owego after 17 years of service and Town of Owego with 5 years of service.  He was a lifetime member of the Owego Fire Department, Company #5.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. with Life Celebrations Services to follow at 12:00 Noon at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, a Life Celebrations Home®, 15 Park St., Owego.  Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.  Family requests no flowers, please make memorial contributions in Bernard S.
