George P. Gregory, 79, of Owego, NY went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 24, 2023. George was predeceased by his parents, James and Ruth (Pearlman) Gregory; four siblings, Arthur, Frankie, Louis, Paul. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jean Gregory; son, William "Billy" Gregory; two daughters and son-in-law, Tina and Rich Kidney, Jean Gregory; six grandchildren, Devlin, Tristin, Liam, Lois, JohnPaul, Ethan; siblings, James (Elaine) Gregory, Samuel (Barbara) Gregory, Johnny Gregory, Louisa Gregory, Ruthy Gregory-Stein, Richard (Esther) ; numerous nieces and nephews. George was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from the New York Daily News. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 300 Main St., Owego, NY. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery with full military honors being accorded. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY.
