Skinny, as he liked to be called, is preceded by his parents, Burdette and Ethelyn (Stephens) Brown; two brothers, Raymond and Richard Brown; two sisters, Norma "Dolly" Rupert, Helen Harbst. Skinny is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marilynn Brown; daughter, Michelle (Tony) Tavelli; three sons, Roger (Stacey) Brown, Rick (Careen) Arsenault, Ron (Nikki) Arsenault; six grandsons, Tanner Tavelli, Jake (Alicia) Frost, Cody (Chelsea) Arsenault, Collin (Tiffany) Arsenault, Travis (Amanda) Arsenault, Patrick (Kimberly) Arsenault; added bonus grandchildren, Sophia Deubler, Ethan Jayne; 10 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Fran (Les) Dean, Gayle Zimmer; brother, Gene (Vicki) Brown; several nieces and nephews. Skinny served in the U.S. Army over in Germany for two years. Then worked at NCR before working at the Cornell Orchards, until his first retirement. After retirement, he opened his own auto shop, S & R Custom Services on Pacific Road in Slaterville. After 10 years of that, he and Marilynn packed up and moved to the hills of Candor, and Skinny decided to go back to work at Caskey's Garage in Dryden. He finally retired for good in 2017. Skinny enjoyed mowing his lawn, all their animals from their original 13 mini horses to one large pig, two small dogs, one beefalo and most recently his much loved goats. He enjoyed vacationing at the St. Lawrence, walks and picnics at Taughannock Falls and spending time with his great-grandchildren. In honoring Skinny's wishes, there will be no services.
