Paula L. Hatala, 78, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 7, 2024. Paula was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Arlene Rivenburg; son, James Halala; longtime companion, Hank Peters. She is survived by her two sons, Joseph Hatala, Jonathan Hatala; three grandchildren, Joseph Hatala, Jr., Sophie Hatala, Marina Hatala; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Ross, Carol Mikaze; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Tonya Rivenburg; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Paula was a graduate of Johnson City High School and worked as an LPN at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and later in life obtained her license for Massage Therapy. The family would like to extend a very special Thank You to the Care Team at Ideal Nursing Home for their years of assisting Paula in her last stage of life. The family will receive friends Monday, April 22, 2024 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY.
