Dale L. Wales, 66, of Owego passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, April 7, 2016. Dale was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Reva Wales. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Amy Wales; three children, Kelly and Wayne Walker, Jonathan and Amie Wales, Kaitlin Olevano; four grandchildren, Joshua, Alison, Nicholas, Lilianna; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Linda Wales, Jan Wales and Ruth Cornish; sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and David Strong; several nieces, nephews and cousins; dear neighbors and friends, Vitaliy and Heather Sirotkin. Dale graduated from OFA class of 1969 and was a former section four wrestling champion and a member of the semi-pro football team, TC Jets. He will be remembered for his kind spirit and generosity to others, but especially his love of his wife, children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego. Burial will follow in the Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Owego Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 22, Owego, NY 13827.
