Obituary of James Francis Foos

James Francis Foos, 72, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Clara Foos; two brothers, Howard, Robert; two sisters, Marie, Sister Helen; two daughters, Joy Anne Jaime Foos, Kristine Havens. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Maureen Foos; seven children, Terrence (Karen) Foos, Kathy Harders (Gen Mancini), Kristen (Charlie) Rodriguez, Jason Foos, Amy (Michael) Panella, Michael (Sandie) Foos, William (Emily) Foos; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Tommy (Carol) and Raymond(Rita); five sisters, Hilda, Jane (Bob), Mary Louise, Donna Jean (Dale), Margaret; brother-in-law, Bert; many nieces and nephews. Jim was born in Bowling Green, OH and graduated from Bowling Green High School Class of 1963, and in 1968 graduated with Distinguished Honors from The University of Detroit. He was employed by IBM and Lockheed Martin as a computer programmer from 1969 until his retirement in 2001. Jim was a regular communicant and faithful servant of the community of St. Patrick’s Church in Owego, NY. He will be greatly missed and remembered for his love of his God, his family and his friends. His family mourns his passing, but rejoices that Jim is home in Heaven with the God he loved and followed all of his life. “He fought the good fight, he finished the course, he kept the faith.” A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 300 Main St., Owego. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday Evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY .
