Obituary of Dortha Lorinda Kelsey

Dortha L. Kelsey, formerly of Candor passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016. Mrs. Kelsey grew up on the family farm in a valley north of Candor, called Lovely Vale. She lived and worked nearby with her husband, Paul, for many years on their farm. Mrs. Kelsey was employed as a housekeeper in the dormitories at Ithaca College for a number of years, from the 1960’s to 1980’s. She was predeceased by Paul Kelsey; two sons, Ronald Kelsey, Dale Kelsey; two brothers, Lawrence and Richard Jordan; four sisters, Velma Mills, Ida Wilson, Lillian Bacon, Bertha Fish. Mrs. Kelsey is survived by her son and two daughters-in-law, Darwin and Chris Kelsey, Betty Kelsey; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Satuday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe &Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
