Obituary of Richard C. Price

Richard C. Price, 85, of Nichols, NY passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 amongst family at the James G. Johnson Memorial Nursing Home in Johnson City, NY. Mr. Price joined his wife of 61 years, Mary (O’Boyle) Price, and his parents, Charles W. and Catherine (Pickney) Price, in eternity. Richard was raised in Susquehanna, PA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. and retired from IBM - Owego. At home, Richard tended to his garden with his wife, Mary, and enjoyed creating home repair solutions in his basement workshop. Throughout his life he enjoyed various activities, including making and flying model airplanes with the Valley Radio Model Club of Sayre, PA and was known by his handle, W2RCP, amongst the Ham Radio folks. He loved to listen to Big Band Music and sing in the shower. Richard is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Tina Price, Charles and Jean Price; four daughters and son-in-law, Kathleen and Roy Wiggins, Mary Price, Susan and Kevin Bush, Margaret and Thiaga Rajan; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego. Private burial will be in the McKune Cemetery, Halstead, PA.
