Jacqueline Pokrinchak, 81, died on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Lourdes Hospital Binghamton. Jacqueline resided at the Susquehanna Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Johnson City, NY since November 2014. Jacqueline was born, April 13, 1935, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, the daughter of the late John D. and Jennie Olson Mosko, and was a 1952 graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Mrs. Pokrinchak had been employed by Bell Telephone Company, Wilkes-Barre, PA. In 1957, she and her family moved to Owego, she had worked as an instructional teacher’s aide for the Owego Apalachin Central School District for 30 years, retiring in 2002. She had also worked at Boscov’s, Binghamton, NY and was an elections inspector for the Tioga County Board of Elections. She was a member of the Owego Theta Iota chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and All Saints National Catholic Church, Johnson City, NY. Jacqueline became a Girl Scout Leader and had been involved with the Owego Girls Gymnastics Club when her daughters were school-aged. She bowled in a league at the Owego Bowl. Jacqueline enjoyed doing counted cross stitch and crossword puzzles. Jacqueline was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Philip, on April 19, 2013; sister, Charlotte Mosko Rickmann, on Feb. 9, 2010. She is survived by her four children, Janine P. Dubik and her husband, Mark J., Monroe Township, PA, Marlene P. Riccio and Mark A., Yorktown,VA, Donald Philip Pokrinchak, Essex Junction, VT, Stephen Philip Pokrinchak and his wife, Wai Ling Lee, Owego, NY ; three grandsons, Alex Riccio, Yorktown, VA, Taylor Riccio, New York, New York, Marcus Riccio, Yorktown, VA; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints National Catholic Church, 42 Harry L. Drive, Johnson City, NY. With the Rev. Dennis Ruda, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Polish National Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY.
